What we’re about
Welcome to the San Francisco Psychedelic Society!
Our group is devoted to the exploration of the expansion of consciousness – and we’re fascinated and thrilled as we learn about the profound role psychedelics have played in the evolution of human consciousness over the past tens of thousands of years.
Our group doesn't engage in or promote illegal activities during our Meetups. Don't join this group to procure, or otherwise attempt to procure illegal substances or you will be removed. We are a mature, safe group.
We host guest speakers, movie screenings, social gatherings, integration circles and support groups for mental health and addiciton recovery.

We are excited to announce that our donation-based (info below) Psychedelic Recovery has expanded online to access for anyone around the world! We are a group of peers in recovery that believe that psychedelics and/or plant medicine can help us recover from addiction, alcoholism, and dependency to substances or behaviors. We gather regularly together to support one another to effectively understand and integrate these life-changing tools into our lives.
Members of PR have either already experienced the transformative capacity of psychedelics, and are currently using them to heal, or are interested in learning what role they may play in their recovery. In fact, some individuals may turn to psychedelics to aid in mental health, personal growth, personal development and well-being.
Whether you are recovering from addiction and utilizing psychedelics as a tool to heal yourself or struggling with dependency and looking for a unique path to recovery, or know someone who is, this group is for you.
This is a sober, anonymous meeting and safe space. Please do not come intentionally high. This is not a 12 -step meeting. Many of us are here because traditional recovery methods have not provided adequate recovery.
We will start with a sound meditation, followed by a sharing circle and conscious discussion. This group focuses on intentional use for addiction recovery. We welcome those with experience using these medicines and newcomers alike.
We encourage people to attend regularly so we can continue building a strong group and recovery network.
For questions, please email: psychedelicrecovery@gmail.com
⚠️Disclaimer: Groups do not offer psychotherapy, psychedelic substances, or referrals. This meeting is designed as a secure and anonymous space. It is not a place to promote services or to seek in the procurement of any controlled substances.
Suggested donation $5, no one turned away.

Jakobien Van Der Weijden has been in service of the Psychedelic Renaissance since 2003, working at a Dutch smartshop and several organizations that promote psychedelics research with plant medicine. She has seen that the therapeutic use of psychedelics has allowed individuals to overcome physical, psychological, relational, or spiritual challenges.
CEO Hein Pijnnaken and COO Jakobien Van Der Weijden co-founded the Microdosing Institute in 2017. Pijnnaken was introduced to the healing potential of microdosing in 2016, and began his own independent research to evaluate its effects on ADHD, cluster headaches, and depression. In 2018, Pijnnaken founded Microdose, the first online web shop in Europe providing reliable microdosing products and education.
