Caledon State Park
7:30 am
Ewa Greene, RAS Field Trip Leader
Join illustrious Richmond birder Ewa Greene at Caledon State Park at 7:30 am (trip ends at 12:30). The park is at 11617 Caledon Rd. in King George County. The park consists of old growth forest, wetlands, and meadows, with trails leading all the way to the Potomac River. Spring birding is an excellent opportunity to see migrating warblers and thrushes, among other species. This is a walking birding trip.
We will meet in the parking lot to the left of the house and complete a round trip of about 5 miles. Park entry requires a $5 fee.
Contact Ewa with questions via text 804-306-5612 or email ewagreene@gmail.com.
RAS trips are open to all, RAS membership is encouraged but not required, and unless the trip says otherwise, you don't need to sign up. Please feel free to stay for as long as you want. Attendees do not need to stay the entire time listed.
** The field trip schedule is subject to change. Trips may be added, canceled, or modified. Please check our RAS calendar online at richmondaudubon.org for the most recent trip information.
