Week 11: Anticipaaaaayaaaation at Heinz Field

And now, a few words from Our Girl (Purple) Friday:

WHEW! Clearly Lady Luck was hanging out at the Bank last Sunday!
Lamar and the offense were on point as always! Lamar threw for 290 yards and 4 TDs furthering what we already know... that he IS the BEST QB in the NFL. King Henry had 16 carries for 68 yards, with a new face popping on to the scene with a HUGE catch, his third of the season, taking the ball 84 yards down the sideline, breaking three tackles, and finding his way into the endzone! The Defense however provided us with another lackluster performance. Madubuike had three sacks and five tackles! His best game of the season! Humphrey stripped the ball from Brown which revved up the team and the crowd and was a definite MOJO change! BUT our Secondary got sliced and diced! They allowed Chase to gain 264 receiving yards and three TDs. His ONLY 200+ yard receiving game this year. And regretfully they gave Burrow 428 yards and four touchdown. The only words left at this point. GET IT TOGETHER OR WE WON’T SURVIVE TO SEE THE PLAYOFFS!
We are headed into Steeler Nation this week and that’s always a battle! We are the top two teams in the division. The Steelers have a Top four defense for rushing and scoring. We will absolutely need to stop TJ Watt. He’s a beast but we’ve been able tame him in the past! This will be the first time we have gone up against Queen since he left. We can say the niceties until after the game… For four quarters he isn’t our friend, he lives in the enemy camp. Our defense is being handed a lackluster Wilson who is easily flustered when pressured, so, the D needs to bring the heat! I have to believe they have been simmering for so long they have to break into a full-on Rolling Boil at some point!! Wilson is sitting at 3-0 since starting for the Steelers and it’s high time we remind him that he is only a mediocre QB and is hitting the field against the GOAT! The saying in Baltimore that you aren’t a Raven until you've beaten the Steelers! It’s initiation time, gentlemen!! Humphrey was visibly upset and vocal about the D and their performance to date! Let’s hope he took that angst into practice, and we see that spark we all know is there!! -Tammy
