This all-levels class is for anyone who wants to experience the beauty, power, and joy of flamenco dance. Each session, we will explore movements, rhythms, and taconeos (footwork) from styles such as Sevillanas, Tangos, Bulerías, and more.

Students will learn technique, musicality, and short choreographies, with opportunities to perform at a local venue at the end of each 6-week session.

Whether you are brand new to flamenco or an experienced dancer, you are invited to join our growing community of aficionados. Try something new, connect with others, and perhaps discover a lifelong passion for this unique cultural treasure from Spain!

ATTIRE
- Women: Comfortable top, long practice skirt (if available), and low-heeled flamenco or character shoes.
- Men: Comfortable shirt, pants with room for movement, and low-heeled flamenco or character shoes.
- Dance shoes or closed-toe shoes with a sturdy, low heel recommended.

Classes are held at the Redding Performing Arts Center. Pre-registration required.

Your instructor, Lori McNeill, began her flamenco dance journey in 2001. She has studied and performed flamenco in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area, and brings a wealth of experience teaching dance choreography to novices to her classes.
