NFTs and metaverses are changing the fashion industry in many ways. NFTs represent cloth designing in the metaverse and allow the production of unlimited digital goods that can be purchased as one-of-a-kind assets. The metaverse can become a virtual place of experimentation for the fashion industry, allowing for example to test the commercial success of a new collection or a trend. It can also be a media conducive to innovative marketing strategies. Nonfungible tokens, or NFTs, are unique crypto assets whose authenticity and ownership are verified on blockchains and are bought, sold, and exchanged in the metaverse, often with cryptocurrency.
