What we’re about
Welcome to RG Arts & Culture Club, a place for grown ups to create and play. We go to arts and culture events around town and gather to dabble in creative acts, all with the intention of cultivating community and personal growth.
You've probably noticed that the older we get the less we play? Well, this is a travesty that needs to change - we all need more of those blissful creative play feelings from when we were oh so young. It's time to give in to your creative urges my friend. Ready?
Attend
Plays, movies, museums, galleries, gardens, art walks, markets, concerts in the park, classical music concerts...
Create
Writing, crafting, drawing, collaging, cooking, photography, and more.
Terms & Conditions to Participation
1.) Having a clear photo that is only of you on your profile.
2.) Committing to kindness, good judgment, and good manners at events.
3.) Keeping you RSVP up-to-date. If you say you are going to come, come and If you can't make it, change your RSVP to "Not Going" more than two hours before the start of the event. Cancellation with less than two hours notice is considered a no-show. Best practice is to add events to your personal calendar and/or fine tune your Meetup notifications so that they are reliable for you. (Note that the Going List is updated to reflect actual attendance to the event).

Let's meet at the International Rose Test Garden in Washington Park and take a photo walk. All levels welcome! (Photos are a great source for drawing, by the way).
We will meet in front of the Rose Garden Store at 9:30 and explore the garden and Hoyt Arboretum from there!
What to Bring:
- A camera or phone camera + extra battery if you have one
- Good walking shoes, sun gear (sunblock, sun hat, etc)
- Water / Snacks

Parking can be challenging in WA Park due to a multi-year Portland Water Bureau project. Visitors are encouraged to take TriMet MAX Light Rail to Washington Park stop. Starting in April, the free WA Park shuttle runs through the park each weekend and from May through September, the free shuttle runs seven days a week, with a stop at the rose garden.
