Go ahead, indulge your curiosity and delve into the complexities of the natural world.
Let the experts be your guide to the ecosystems, plants, animals, and fungi found in Southern New England. Explore Audubon wildlife refuges with scientists and skilled naturalists who will provide both indoor lectures and outdoor investigations. Each session provides a new layer of insight, culminating in a solid base of knowledge for beginner naturalists.
Be prepared to walk a mile or two. Dress for the weather, wear sturdy walking shoes, bring water, snacks, sunscreen and insect repellent. Resources, such as field guides, will be shared. All participants will receive a complimentary copy of Rhode Island Birding Trails, the Audubon Society of Rhode Island guide to over 60 places to bird watch in the Ocean State. For details, locations, topics, and to register, visit asri.org/calendar.
