What we're about

Rhythm and sound vibration enters our bodies and affects us at the deepest cellular levels. Whether through drumming, the use of healing instruments or the voice, we can experience transformation that supports our health and well-being. Deep relaxation, a lowering of blood pressure, a boost to the immune system, mood elevation, a release of emotional tension, a sense of oneness, a sense of community are all among the many benefits we may receive. The latest brain research demonstrates that the brain literally "lights up" with sound vibration!

I welcome you to participate in my sound healing and facilitated drum circle experiences. Instruments are provided for your use at drum circles (or bring your favorite!) Absolutly no previous experience is necessary.

Individual sound healing sessions are also available.

COMMUNITY DRUM CIRCLE - NEW LOCATION AND TIME!!

Needs a location

Find your groove in this friendly and supportive drum circle!

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE? NO WORRIES! You will be gently guided into simple patterns that will have you drumming in no time.

NO DRUM? NO WORRIES! I have plenty to share, along with shakers, bells and other fun stuff :)

Recreational group drumming and music-making is a great practice that supports health & well-being. It's transformational: it can uplift your mood, decrease your blood pressure, decrease anxiety, increase your energy, increase your feelings of connection and IT'S JUST PURE FUN!

We welcome you to become part of this monthly drumming, music-making community. Bring your harmonica, flute, tongue drum, etc. to add to the mix - they add the "spice" to the drumming. This is a facilitated event; newcomers are always warmly welcomed and will be guided into finding their rhythms while more experienced drummers will have the chance to show us their chops while supporting the group experience.

Community Song Circle

Needs a location

Did you grow up singing in church or a school choir and miss the camaraderie and magic of music-making? Do you sing in the shower or car alone but long for others to sing with?

In our community song circle, we start by playfully warming up our voices and bodies , we then move into learning “circle songs”- simple rounds, call and response, chants, etc. in the oral tradition (no music reading necessary). We may alternate with vocal improv play for the fun of it. If you play guitar or ukulele, drums or just want to shake a shaker to keep the beat - great! We'll add them in. It’s all a very fun experiment in vocal exploration and building a supportive song circle community.

Come join us! I know it takes courage to step into a new meet-up group, but I assure you, you will be warmly and enthusiastically welcomed to reconnect with the music inside of you. Bring a friend! Bring a simple song you’d like to share and/or just come and sing your heart out while learning new stuff. All are welcome!
