Richmond Book Club March 2025 Meeting

Details
The Richmond Book Club's March meeting will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Capital Ale House, Midlothian, 13831 Village Place Drive. March's book is James by Percival Everett, a reimaging of Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of the enslaved Jim.
The novel has been critically acclaimed and won both the National Book Award and the Kirkus Prize in 2024. It was also selected as a best book of the year by The New York Times Book Review, LA Times, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Economist, and TIME. It is nuanced, funny, and observant. James's intelligence and compassion shine.
I hope you'll get together with us to talk about the book, have something to eat and drink, and enjoy one another's company. If you have questions/comments, let me know at pawoodson@msn.com or call/text at 760-650-6953. You can also use the Notifications or Messages functions on the club's group page. Thanks.
