The Richmond Book Club's June meeting will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2026, beginning at 7:00 p.m., at the Capital Ale House, Midlothian, 13831 Village Place Drive. The book we're reading is My Husband's Wife (Alice Feeney, 2025).

From capesandtights.com:
"The book begins with a gripping premise, Eden Fox going for a jog only to return to her husband with a different wife claiming to be her, [but] this book is so much more. It’s about life, death, grief, family, community, and most of all, deception. Nothing is ever quite what it seems, and you never know when the story will shift. Feeney leads you down one path, only to pull the rug out from underneath you and send you another direction, making for a book that is hard to pause.
"Feeney’s signature style is clear in this novel, multiple points of view and a fast pace, which in some novels can be hard for me to follow along. However, the characters featured in the novel are different enough to make them easy to follow along. Plus, I always find Feeney’s shorter chapters easier to follow and allows my brain to take a few seconds to comprehend what the heck just happened before heading into the next part of the story. This is truly brilliant storytelling from Feeney.
"My Husband’s Wife is a thrilling mystery steeped in lies and deception with more twists than a roller coaster. Alice Feeney has crafted yet another stellar novel that’s hard to put down. With characters you care about, even though you might also hate them, and a plot full of original, unpredictable turns, this book makes for an unforgettable must-read."

There will be lots to talk about and I hope you can join us for that, to socialize, and have something to eat/drink. If you have any questions, I can be reached at pawoodson@msn.com or 760-650-6953. You can also use the Notifications or Messages options on the club's page.

Thanks.
