Come and join us on a trip to one of the UK's most famous beauty spots! At 400ft (122m) deep and three miles (4.8km) long, Cheddar Gorge is England's largest gorge, boasting subterranean caverns with impressive displays of stalactites and stalagmites. Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, known as Cheddar Man, was found here, as was some extremely rare Ice Age art.
Cheddar is also the birthplace of the world-famous Cheddar cheese. We're going to visit the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company – a family-owned, independent small artisan cheesemaker, that makes the only authentic Cheddar cheese in the world! Cheese is produced by hand, using traditional methods, such as using raw milk, traditional animal rennet, and a cloth wrapping. Of course, no visit would be complete without tasting the renowned authentic Cheddar cheese and purchasing some gifts for your friends and loved ones!
TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
- Enjoy a cliff-top walk around the famous Cheddar Gorge, with its weathered crags and pinnacles. There will be some rocky paths and stiff climbs, but all of your efforts will be well rewarded by the jaw-dropping beauty around you!
- Explore mysterious chambers of Gough's and Cox's Caves, that are over 500,000 years old! Marvel at the incredible rock formations and the outstandingly beautiful chambers of St Paul’s Cathedral, Solomon’s Temple and Aladdin’s Cave.
- See picturesque stalagmites and stalactites inside the caves.
- Visit the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Company, and see how the only authentic Cheddar cheese is made!

#################
We’ve created a list of FAQs to help you.
#################
Come and join us as we discover Sandringham – the much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty The Queen and the private home of four generations of British monarchs since 1862. The Royal Family traditionally spends Christmas and New Year at Sandringham House. On this day hike, we'll explore the Sandringham Country Park, which the Royal Family opened to visitors in 1968. The trail will take us through open heath and picturesque woodlands, planted mainly with Corsican and Scots pines, mixed with oak, sweet chestnut and birch.
We'll then head to the elegant seaside resort of Hunstanton, famous for its unique red and white striped cliffs. Walking along the beach, we'll see three distinctive layers of rock: at the top is white chalk (Ferriby Chalk Formation), followed by red chalk (Hunstanton Formation) and orange carstone (Carstone Formation) at the cliff base. You'll have time to discover the story and legend of St Edmund, Hunstanton’s most famous visitor and the first Patron Saint of England, by following Wolf Trail. At the end of the day, we'll relax by the North Sea and watch the waves, and, perhaps, the brave ones will even go for a swim! Hunstanton is one of the most popular sunset spots in Norfolk due to its unique position – it's the only east coast resort that faces west.

- ⛰️ The Malvern Hills Ridge End-To-End TraverseNovotel London West, London£68.00
#################
We’ve created a list of FAQs to help you.
#################
Ready to embark on an epic and challenging ‘miniature mountain range’ adventure? Then join us on a day hike to the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty! We'll walk south to north, taking in all the main summits of the Malvern Ridge. This is a difficult hike with lots of ascents and descents. However, all our efforts will be well-rewarded by the dramatic scenery!
Rising abruptly from the flat lands of the Vale of Severn in the east and from the rolling hills of Herefordshire in the west, the Malvern Hills reach 425 metres at their highest point, Worcestershire Beacon. The spectacular landscapes and a wealth of ecological, historical and geological gems make them a unique destination. Did you know that at about 700 million years old, the rocks that form the Malvern Hills are some of the oldest in the UK?
The lofty hill range of the Malvern has attracted local tribes since prehistoric times. The summits offered good vantage points and were ideal for defence in troubled times. We'll pass the impressive ramparts of the Iron Age hill forts of British Camp and Midsummer Hill, thought to be over 2,000 years old. We'll also visit the famous man-made Hermit's Cave (also known as Clutter's Cave), cut out of the ancient rock at some unknown date.
Our hike will finish at Great Malvern, which was a popular spa town retreat for both the Georgians and the Victorians. For centuries, the Malvern Hills have been well-known for their health-giving spring waters. Many famous people came to Malvern to ‘take the cure’, including Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens.

- ⛰️ (The Lake District) Hiking Scafell Pike – The Highest Mountain in EnglandNovotel London West, London£238.00
#################
We’ve created a list of FAQs to help you.
#################
The Lake District is England's largest national park and by far the most popular in the UK. Every year, some 19 million people pitch up to explore the region's mountains and countryside, and it's not hard to see why. Its postcard panorama of craggy hilltops, mountain tarns and glittering lakes has been stirring the imaginations of visitors for centuries. In 2017, the Lake District was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, joining the likes of the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall of China and the Grand Canyon on the illustrious list. It was the UK’s first national park to be given such status.
On the first day of our trip, we'll summit Scafell Pike – the highest mountain in England, rising to 978 metres above sea level. We'll do our walk from Wasdale valley, which offers the shortest and the most popular approach to the peak. The route starts at almost the sea level, by ascending alongside Lingmell Gill. After crossing the river, the path then leads to Hollow Stones and Lingmell Col, before the final rocky ascent to Scafell Pike. Throughout the whole hike, we'll enjoy superb views of Wast Water, England's deepest lake, the surrounding peaks and dramatic crags. After the hike, we'll drive to our hotel, where we'll have dinner and rest.
Sunday will be much more relaxing! Today's walk is low-level, and will take us around two of the prettiest lakes in the Lake District – Grasmere and Rydal Water. We'll visit the large cavern of Rydal Cave, with its stepping stones. This famous Lakeland beauty spot is actually man-made, and is the result of slate quarrying over 200 years ago. We'll climb Loughrigg Fell (335m) and enjoy amazing panoramic views (it's often from the lower hills that you get the best views!). The hike will finish at Grasmere village, where we'll have lunch and visit the famous Grasmere Gingerbread Shop – an absolute must-do in the Lakes!

- ⛰️ Hiking Snowdon – The Highest Mountain in England & WalesNovotel London West, London£258.00
#################
We’ve created a list of FAQs to help you.
This trip has a slightly higher price than our usual £238 weekend price due to very high hotel prices in North Wales during the peak summer season.
#################
The Snowdonia National Park boasts vast areas of natural beauty and unique scenery. It is also known as ‘Eryri’, a Welsh name that can be translated as ‘the place of the eagles’. Covering 838 square miles, it is the largest and oldest national park in Wales. There are nine mountain ranges here and they cover over half of the national park’s surface.
Departing from London early on Saturday morning, we'll head to Snowdon – the tallest mountain in England and Wales, at an elevation of 1,085 metres above sea level. Starting from Pen-y-Pass mountain pass, we'll climb Snowdon via the Miners' Track. On our way, we'll pass old mine buildings and enjoy exceptional views of the beautiful glacial lakes of Llyn Llydaw and Glaslyn, and the surrounding peaks of the Snowdon Massif mountain range. The descent route is via the Pyg Track. After the hike, we'll drive to our hotel, where we'll have dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening.
On Sunday, after an early breakfast, we'll head to one of Snowdonia’s prettiest villages – Beddgelert. The walk will take us to the spectacular Pass of Aberglaslyn, through the narrow gorge, with the Afon Glaslyn raging alongside us. We'll pass Gelert’s Grave, which, according to the legend, marks the final resting place of Gelert, the faithful dog of the medieval Welsh Prince Llewelyn. The trail includes stunning Llyn Dinas (lake), scenic Cwm Bychan (valley) and fine views of the peaks of the Snowdon range. We'll finish our hike at Beddgelert village, where we'll stop for lunch. If you're an ice-cream fan, don't forget to visit the famous Glaslyn ice-cream parlour – truly one of the best (and also the oldest) in Snowdonia! 🍦
