About the Organizer
Hi! I'm Jason Cormier, and I seem to have a habit of finding myself on the edge of what's new and next in marketing. From launching a web development firm in the mid-90s to growing and selling a social media agency I ran for 18 years.
And guess what: I still don't feel like I know half the stuff I should! That is where community comes in, and I'm passionate about it because we're all just learning as we go.
Today, I serve as President of Rocky Mountain AI (RMAIIG's non-profit entity), and lead the Mutual Intelligence AI consultancy, AI Marketing Forum Skool community, and AI Marketing Forum Virtual meetup - which collectively serve over 7,500 professionals interested in AI.

AI Agents in Marketing
Founder Central by Sweater, 2000 Central Ave #100, Boulder, CO, USWhat’s Running, What Broke, Who’s Still Needed
Everyone is talking about AI agents, but they don’t always mean the same thing. Is Deep Research an agent? What about a workflow built in Lovable? And how much independence should we give a system that can take action on its own?
In preparation for this Meetup, think about how you'd answer this question: "What one AI tool would you call an AI Agent?"
We’ll start this panel discussion with a short, practical exploration of what an AI agent is and where familiar tools fall on the spectrum - from assisted work to autonomous action.
Crys Black will moderate the panel discussion led by Jason Cormier, joined by Bruce Hicks (creator of Theta, a governed knowledged system for agents) and Melissa Stenger (marketing/comms expert focused on small businesses and non-profits). They, and other panelists will share real examples: what their agents do, where they fit into daily work, what broke along the way, and where people still need to make the decisions. We’ll also discuss why an agent may produce different results from one run to the next and how teams can set useful boundaries.
You’ll leave with:
- A clearer way to recognize and describe different kinds of agents
- Examples of agent use in marketing today
- Questions to ask before giving an agent more responsibility
- A better sense of the work that still needs a human
Bring your questions, whether you’re already building agents or still figuring out what the term means.
We hope to see you on Thursday, November 12 at 8:00 AM at Founder Central by Sweater in Boulder.
Please use the entrance with the mural, on the parking lot side of the building.
