VT NEHH ... Bread Loaf and Wilson (Advanced)

Details
Read the entire description before you decide to RSVP to this event. If you underestimate the demands; overestimate your knowledge, experience, skills or abilities; and/or come unprepared you put yourself and others at risk. Consider this before you RSVP.
There is one question when you join the waiting list - you need to answer it. There is a 250 character limit so be detailed but brief - if you exceed 250 characters nothing gets saved. Answers don't carry over from one event to another so you have to answer it with each RSVP.
== WHAT WE'RE DOING ==
2 of the NEHH in VT. We will use the Emily Proctor Trail until we connect to the long trail. From there, we will fork to Bread Loaf and back, and then tag Wilson. Then, we will go back the way we went up. We will probably be breaking trail! YOU MUST HAVE WINTER EXPERIENCE TO PARTICIPATE.
As we get closer to the day, we might decide to do a traverse with a spot car on the other side of the trail. We will update here if we end up deciding to do it based on conditions!
If you are interested in participating in this event sign up for the waiting list and answer the question that is part of the RSVP process.
- RSVPs close 24 hours before event.
- Maximum group size is 10 people because we will be traveling within a designated wilderness area.
- Guests aren't permitted.
- Dogs only permitted with prior approval.
We start, hike, and finish as a group. This trip isn't for you if you are fast and don't want to stay with us, if you want to head off on your own, or if you are slow and expect us to constantly wait for you.
On this moderate pace (1.5-2 MPH) trip we will hike about 9 miles and climb about 2,700 feet. It should take an average hiker about 6 h 30 minutes to complete. This is considered ADVANCED because of pace, distance, and elevation gain in winter. Use this link for more information:
Dangerous weather conditions will cancel this event - I will post an update and/or send an email to all confirmed participants.
