The historic Rockingham Ballroom has the area’s largest and only floating wood floor built spe cifically for dancing. Our events host some of the biggest names of big bands, dating from 1934. 8500 sf with a 4000 sf dance floor. Café style seating. Featured monthly events live big band and swing sound with free lessons, Stand up comedy, tribute bands, line dancing with lesson featured DJ dancing with monthly themes We also are available to rent for parties, classes, meetings.

Get ready for a night of laughs and unexpected surprises at Comedy Night at the Rockingham Ballroom.
Each month, we showcase a fresh lineup of talented stand-up comedians—from rising stars to seasoned pros—many with credits from comedy festivals, TV, and top clubs across New England and beyond. You never know who might take the stage, but we guarantee one thing: you’ll leave smiling.
This Month will feature Boston area favorites Matt Barry, Joanie Grassey, and Wayne Russell. The night doesn’t end with the headliners, we’re opening the mic for anyone ready to test their stand-up chops!
Matt Barry has been a finalist in the Last Comix Standing and New England's Funniest comedy competitions, and won New England's Best Bar Comic. He's appeared at Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, Laugh Boston, and the Comedy Connection, and has been heard on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Joanie Grassey was a comedian in Las Vegas for more than 20 years , working at Catch a Rising Star, The Improv, and The Comedy Stop. She starred in Funniest Females for a year, hosted at Caesar’s Magical Empire, and many other fantastic events. Wayne Russell has performed at some of the top comedy rooms in New England including Nick's Comedy Stop, The Comedy Studio, Steve Sweeney's Comedy Den, and The Bull Run.
Doors open at 8:00 pm, stand-up sets starting at 8:30 pm, and open mic at 11:00 pm
Tickets are 2 for 1 at $20.00, so be sure to bring a friend!
You can bring your beverage of choice (BYOB) and we provide a healthy light menu to snack on, for purchase. Seltzers, sodas, and mixers also available. (No “bar” tab.) We have both cafe and lounge seating. The game room opens at 10:30 pm.
Looking for a venue for your next event? The Rockingham Ballroom is available for Private Parties, Events, Classes, and Weddings. Our event center is 8,500 sq. feet. The 4000 square foot floating wood floor is the only such dance floor in New England. Located in Newmarket, NH and only 15 minutes from Portsmouth, Exeter, or Durham.
