We meet at our usual spot San Elijo Ridgeline Trailhead parking lot. For reference this parking lot is the one in front of the Double Peak School. This is the last run before the time changes. This will be a Halloween run, costumes are encouraged. The run is 3 miles out and 3 miles back but you can turn back earlier if you need to. It is getting dark so please bring a headlamp. Please follow CDC guidelines.
Starting June 27th, we are BACK!! Please join us every Saturday at 6:30am at Lake Hodges for 4-10 miles of trail running. Come on out and run or walk. This is for all levels of walkers and runners looking for a great group to run with, in one of San Diego's true gems - the Coast to Crest Trail around the Lake Hodges area. It's a great place to run, fantastic group of runners, and an awesome way to start your Saturday! Spread the word, and bring a friend! Safety Measures According to the CDC: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✅ Prior to attending a group run each participant must self screen and stay at home if sick or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, such as a frequent cough, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell, or if they or someone they live with have been diagnosed with COVID-19. ✅ Maintain physical distancing of at least 6ft whenever possible. ✅ Must wear a mask or face covering before the run, during the group photo and after the run if socializing. ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📌 RUN AT YOUR OWN RISK! We meet at 7:30 AM at the Pannikin coffee shop on 101 in Leucadia/Encinitas (it's the yellowish coffee shop with the patio seating). Look for a bunch of runners congregating out front. There is usually parking on 101, behind the Pannikin, or on the street one block west of 101. This run is intended for anyone who wants to run an easy-paced long and flat run to get some good base miles in. A core group usually runs about 8 miles (to the end of the Carlsbad campgrounds and back), but since this is an out and back run, people come out and do whatever distance they need to, from 3 miles to 23 miles. We stick to the coast and we go out and back, so nobody will get lost or left behind. This run is meant to be long and slow, but pace is relative. Hopefully we will have a few different groups, so everyone will have people to run with. Bring some money for post-run coffee and food at The Pannikin. If you have any questions, please email me. Hope to see you at The Pannikin Run. Also find us on Facebook and Instagram - Pannikin_runners.
Join the Fleet Feet Sports San Diego crew for a scenic long run to kick off your weekend. We will have route options up to 10 miles, going out and back on the 56 bike path with water stops along the way (at 2.5 miles as well as the turnaround at mile 5). Runners can easily loop around for 3.5 miles, turn back earlier on Carmel Valley Rd. for 8.2 miles, or turn around at any point on the out and back for any desired distance. Make sure to arrive a bit early to warm up and stow any personal items (we have lockers available). We will leave right at 7:32 a.m. We are excited about getting some longer weekly runs going as we prepare to launch training programs soon. Start your weekends off on the right foot, and join us for a fun longer group run!
