Our guest, Maryellen Burns, is the President of the Sacramento Book Collectors Club. She is also a very prolific writer and speaker on women's issues, Sacramento history, and on food and restaurants.
She also has had a keen interest in some of the less savory aspects of our history. She will talk about those engaged in the world's oldest profession in Sacramento in the 19th and early 20th centuries, how they fared and the attitude of local politicians towards them.
