About us
This group is a resource for astrologers and people interested in astrology in the Sacramento area. Our main focus is the organization of monthly meetings and workshops in order to help teach and promote various forms of astrology.
The Sacramento NCGR Chapter hosts several types of meetings. We generally have a monthly meeting that centers around a talk from a well-known astrologer. Our speakers include local astrologers, nationally known astrologers and astrologers that travel internationally to speak at our meetings. We also sponsor smaller, more specialized meetings.
This group is a great place for astrologers to meet, network and share knowledge.
Our members include professionals, astrological enthusiasts and newcomers, all are welcome! NCGR (National Council for Geocosmic Research) is one of the largest national astrological organizations.

Horary is without peer in the astrology world for the ability to answer almost any question with speed and accuracy.
The principles upon which horary astrology is based are the same principles used for all branches of astrology. The difference is context. The focus of most horary questions is the short-term immediate future. Compare this to natal astrology where the focus is on a lifetime. With horary astrology there is no need to spend time consulting derived charts such as progressions, profections and solar arcs. The chart for the horary horoscope is complete. Embedded into its structure is the answer to the question.
Join me in an exploration of horary astrology and some of the methods used to answer everyday and personal questions on June 28, 2026 with our host The Sacramento Chapter of NCGR.
Peter Burns took up astrology in the late 1980’s, received his Astrology Diploma (FAA) in 1997, was VAA president 2006-2008, national editor of the Federation of Australian Astrologers (FAA) Journal 2000-2015, was awarded Fellow membership of the FAA in 2011; was guest speaker on ABC radio in WA and 3RRR in Melbourne, published “The Palmistry Textbook” in 2011, has lectured in Australia and USA. Peter is dedicated to bringing astrology back to basics and rediscovering its foundations. Peter is a dedicated astrologer, lecturer, writer and teacher.
