Sacramento Mindfulness Group is an inclusive community interested in practices that help us to develop mindfulness, wisdom, and compassion in a supportive setting as well as share these practices with the wider communities we are connected to. Whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner, join us for volunteer days, meditations, book group discussions, yoga, workshops, and social events focused on cultivating present moment awareness and kindness towards oneself and others along with personal growth and well-being.

Zen Yoga for Winter: Kidney and Bladder Meridians, December 13, 2025 at 9:00 am
Yoga@N, 500 N St Suite 26, Sacramento, CA, USJoin us for Zen Yoga for Winter ❄️ at Yoga @ N, a one-hour class designed to nourish your body-mind 🫁 and restore your vital energy 🌙 during the cold season.
This week, we’ll be focusing on the Kidney and Bladder meridians, the primary energy pathways associated with winter in both Chinese Medicine 🐉 and Daoist/Qigong traditions 🌬. We’ll weave together yogic postures 🤸♂️, Qigong flow, acupressure & self-massage 🤲, and guided Zen-style meditation 🪷 to help warm the body, soothe the nervous system, and replenish deep vitality—what Daoism calls jing, the life essence that supports our longevity and resilience.
You’ll learn how winter can affect the kidney–bladder system and how movement + breath alignment can gently restore circulation, clarity, and inner steadiness.

This week, we’ll be exploring the Heart Chakra through the combined lenses of traditional Vedic yoga systems 🕉, Tibetan Buddhist subtle-body practices 🪷, Daoist/Qigong traditions 🌬, and modern science 🧠. Through their ancient techniques—yogic asanas 🤸♀️, Qigong forms 🐉, acupressure & self-massage 🤲, and guided meditation 🌟—you’ll discover how each tradition maps the body–mind differently and how these maps can help us understand (and unlearn) common chakra myths through direct, embodied experience.
We’ll cultivate a gentle, welcoming space 🤗 for all levels and backgrounds as we explore what it truly means to open and expand the heart center—with softness and healthy boundaries. The exact class flow will shift based on the needs and energy of those who attend.
