About us
Welcome to the Neurodivergent Social Group!
Are you a neurodivergent adult in the Sacramento area who wants to communicate with local like-minded people?
This group was started so we can find each other and become friends, so we no longer need to pretend we’re “neurotypical” when communicating with others.
This group will bring members together to be yourselves, come as you are, and speak freely, without fear that others won’t have a clue what you’re saying or will criticize you for not being “empathetic” enough or for uttering the“wrong” words.
This group is for Sacramento locals who feel left out of social circles, who need motivation to get out of the house and meet people — like-minded people.
Do you feel closeted, afraid to be honest, to say anything at all, because you don’t know what others will think?
Do you find yourself struggling in social settings to start and/or stay in conversations?
Do you wish you weren’t alone?
The leader of this group is a female resident of Sacramento with high-functioning Autism diagnosed as an adult. She is not a psychologist or professional neurodivergence specialist. She would like to organize similar folks to socialize.
We’re thinking of having a weekly brunch at a local restaurant where we can converse freely and comfortably.
This meetup is specifically designed for neurodivergent people in Sacramento, either by diagnosis, or by identifying as such, or thinking you might be. We provide a safe and supportive space for members to connect, socialize, and share experiences. Whether you're looking for friendship, support, or just a relaxing brunch with like-minded individuals, this is the group for you. Join us for engaging discussions and meaningful connections. Let's celebrate neurodiversity together!
