Where Are We Headed?
Gathering on the north side (left-hand side) of the Safeway Supermarket, we will connect on to M Street, and follow M Street all of the way to Elvas Avenue. Once at Elvas Avenue, we will cross the street, go into the pedestrian tunnel to the Sacramento State University campus, follow the perimeter of the school, and then get up to the Guy West Bridge to connect on to the American River Parkway Trail near the 8-mile marker.
On the way, we can admire the beautiful Christmas decorations adorning the houses we pass in the East Sacramento neighborhood.
This will be an out-and-back course workout. Distance and pace will be determined by the participants and their individual training plans.
Typically, someone is there at this location fifteen minutes before the listed starting time should you want to engage in some pre-workout stretching.
