Where Are We Headed?

Running from the parking lot in front of the bakery, we will cross Sutterville Road, catching a glimpse of the giraffes at the Sacramento Zoo, and connect to the Sacramento River Parkway Trail by the use of a pedestrian bridge that crosses over the Interstate-5 freeway. From that point, we will continue to go north, along the top of the river levee, passing through Miller Park, and on towards the Tower Bridge and Old Sacramento historical landmarks. Some runners may continue on through Old Sacramento, possibly reaching Discovery Park, which is the starting point of the American River Recreational Trail.

This will be an out-and-back course. Distance and pace will be determined by the participants and their individual training plans.

Typically, someone is there at this location fifteen minutes before the listed starting time should you want to engage in some personal pre-workout stretching.
