About us
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2026. Welcome to Walk N Watercolor.
About Your Host:
I'm Nicole, host and organizer, and my aim with this group is to create a space for creativity and nature to collide.
About the Group:
Part nature walk, part en plein air painting, let's get outside with our pencils, sketchbooks, brushes and paints and get inspired!
A type of nature journaling, events will last about 2 hours, with 20-30 minutes of walking, and the rest of the time painting or sketching.
This group is primarily for spending time outdoors. Occasional trips indoors for seasonal weather will pop up here and there. Our special interest is Watercolor as it lends itself to flora and fauna by its very nature.
Watercolor is all about flow while the artist accepts what is revealed by the elements of water, paper, color and air coming together.
Members have shared that getting outside and painting as a very meditative practice to get away from the grind of everyday experiences.
Guidelines for an Enjoyable Experience for All:
Commitment. Out of consideration for the group and myself, it's important that RSVP is respected. Please keep your RSVP updated.
Calm and Cozy. Things happen, you might run into an issue before coming to an event and need to cancel last minute, or running a few minutes late. Please respectfully communicate, and in turn I ask for patience and grace from all members. We keep it calm and cozy so we can focus on our intentions.
Small groups. As your host, I keep the group size intentionally limited. Please respect the space and time of others as much as you can. If you are placed on the wait-list, again please respect the RSVP and keep it updated so that those waiting can plan to attend, and if you are moved off the wait-list please plan to attend or update your RSVP. Please do not attend events without an RSVP.
My discretion. Ultimately, membership is at my discretion, and I will remove folks who no-show, or for other reasons that are disruptive to the group's function. I am considerate of my members time and energy, and I hope for the same in return.
Thank you for joining, and I look forward to another quiet adventure with you all.
