About us
Sacramento Gay Men's Events is a meetup group for gay men from all over the spectrum. Except politically. Member's suggestions for events/venues are most welcome. If you can host an event- that's even better: a trip to Apple Hill, movie nite at your place, a potluck, swim party and so on.
You'll find this is a group of responsible men who when they RSVP they show up. The guys that RSVPed to an event with a waitlist and no showed (robbing a member of a chance to attend)-- well those guys have been removed from the group. Shit happens to us all. If you RSVP and find later you can not make it (no big deal) just come back into the event-- EDIT ATTENDANCE and Update your RSVP from Going to Not going.
This is a group where members are gay/bi men. HOWEVER, guests are not limited to gay/bi men. Bring whomever you like.

Curtis Park (Pickleball), 3349 W Curtis Drive, Sacramento, CA, USLet's get together for some Pickleball! Beginners and experienced players are welcome. Hopefully we can get a court! 🤞🏻 We can go over the basics if you aren't familiar, and we'll have extra paddles and balls to share.
We can also get a bite to eat after for anyone interested.

Gay Men's Book Club
John Bennett's Home, 95831, Sacramento, CA, USGay Men's Book Club will meet 3rd Thursday of ea month 530pm at my home in South Land Park Hills. I'll provide pizza and drinks. For those that RSVP I'll send my address 48 hours before the meeting. Make sure your email preferences are set to receive emails from this group. Email preferences in meetup.com are set PER meetup group.
Our first book (please read it before our meeting) will be Dr. Richard Williams' Eros Rising. It was so hot in one scene I had to close the book and take a cold shower. Richard and his husband Doug are good friends of mine living in Elk Grove and both members of this meetup group. If the weather is good we can have pizza and discussion on the patio and for those that want jump in the pool later. I will provide towels and you must wear something (not a clothing optional event (LOL)).
Dr. Williams is working this date so will not be able to join us.
For June 18th book will be: Who Knew by Berry Diller
For July 16th book will be: And Tango Makes Three by J Richardson/P Parnell, H Cole. At one time-- THE most banned book in the United States.
future books I'm Here for The Bath. Might add this one to our July 16th date as And Tango Makes Three reads in about 25 minutes. Took me an hour because I took time looking at the pictures (LOL).
Did you know the Lavender Library has two book clubs?
Would love your suggestions for future books.
PS: I have highlighted how to purchase the books with Amazon. That's only a suggestion buy/borrow them where you want.
