Details
Ever wanted to learn how to ballroom dance but never had the opportunity to try? Well, here’s your chance!
If it’s your first time attending, you can try it out for free. Let the person at the front desk know it’s your first time. If you’ve attended before, it is $5 per person. Singles and couples welcome! You do not need a partner to attend. We meet in the main auditorium of the Gibbons community center. After the main lessons, other dances will be. We eventually learn the basics and some advanced steps for 12 key ballroom dance styles over the course of 6 weeks.
We learn:
-east coast swing and cha cha
-salsa and bachata
-tango and foxtrot
-merengue and night club 2 step
-waltz and rumba
-country 2 step and west coast swing
And some line dances for fun All skill levels are encouraged to attend! This is a recurring weekly event that is open to the public so feel free to bring friends. Attire: recommend that you dress comfortably and wear close toed shoes that have less grip on flooring— for example, flats or shoes with a small supportive heel for women and dress shoes for men. Of course, if you don’t have these shoes, no worries! We’d rather you come and join in on the fun!!!
