Welcome to San Francisco fashion designers meetup group.

Who we are:
This group is for fashion designers in San Francisco who are both makers and entrepreneurs building our own brands. It is for fashion professionals who are acting on their creative vision and passion for designing and making apparel products. This meetup group provides social events where fashion designers can get to know each other and start building connections in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Your business focus can be custom (bespoke) apparel and/or creating seasonal collections in all segments of the fashion marketplace. You can be manufacturing domestically or foreign, but your product development should be done in San Francisco. Were open to designers of all experience levels. You can be just launching your brand or in your 10th season.

San Francisco does not have a fashion industry or community for designers who run their own companies and brands to operate within. There are designers in SF with their own retail storefronts and studios, yet very few of us know each other. We are not geographically centralized, leaving us isolated from each other without connection, structure, or awareness of one another.  This meetup group seeks to address this problem.

Our purpose:
The purpose of this group is to create a space for designers to:
·     Get to know each other
·     Keep each other inspired
·     Have fun
·     Network and share resources (optional)
·     Provide support for the challenges of being self employed in fashion
·     Start a community and work together towards common goals

Required:
To be in this group you need to have the following:
·     San Francisco business license
·     Linked In profile
·     Website

This group is not for:
·     Students
·     Amateurs doing activism/art projects
·     Tees & hoodies screen-print “designers”
·     Retired fashion designers
·     Stylists, photographers, models, consultants, contractors, developers, or promoters
