About us
A San Francisco community for people who love ideas, conversation, and the art of thinking.
This is a philosophy and critical thinking group for anyone drawn to deep questions, careful reasoning, and lively discussion. You do not need a philosophy degree or academic background to join. Some of us may be longtime readers, researchers, or academics; others may simply be curious people who enjoy thinking out loud. What matters most is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore ideas with others.
Our meetups are social, thoughtful, and conversational. We’ll gather to discuss questions from philosophy, ethics, science, technology, consciousness, art, relationships, and everyday life. Sometimes the conversation may be rigorous; sometimes it may be playful, strange, personal, or wonderfully unresolved.
The goal is not to perform intelligence or win debates. It is to create a warm intellectual community in San Francisco: a place where people can meet, think together, disagree kindly, and leave with new questions, new perspectives, and maybe new friends!
Come as you are. Bring your curiosity, your doubts, your favorite ideas, and your willingness to be surprised.
