About us
With an emphasis on exploring San Francisco on foot, we set out to uncover the city’s most intriguing and unexpected corners—hidden gems, forgotten pathways, and sweeping views that reveal its true character. Led by a 4th-generation San Franciscan, these walks are shaped by a lifetime connection to the city—stories passed down, history lived, and insights you won’t find on a map. This isn’t just a walk—it’s an invitation into the soul of San Francisco.
Every outing offers something different. Everyone is welcome—come curious, and leave your preconceptions behind.
Important Information:
Arriving late can make it difficult to catch up, as the group will already be on the move. Our pace is typically moderate, with a natural rhythm that keeps the experience engaging. While we aim to be inclusive, some participants may choose to continue at their own pace. Routes may shift based on conditions, adding a sense of spontaneity to the journey.
You are responsible for your own safety at all times and must follow all traffic laws. Do not rely on the group when crossing streets or navigating roadways. The city’s terrain and layout can be unpredictable—awareness and preparation are key.
No-Show Policy:
No-shows disrupt the flow of the group. If you can’t attend, please update your status to “No.” Repeated no-shows may result in removal from future events. Thank you for helping maintain the integrity of the experience.
Liability Disclaimer:
Organizers are unpaid volunteers and do not present themselves as professional guides. By attending, you accept full responsibility for your own safety, conduct, health, and well-being. Outdoor activities involve inherent risks, and participation is entirely at your own risk. RSVPing “Yes” and/or attending an event confirms your understanding and agreement with this policy

Section 5 of the Roundabout Sutro Baths to Tunnel Top Park. 6.0 miles / 714' ele
Sutro Baths, Lands End, San Francisco, CA, USSection 5: Lands End to Tunnel Tops
(one way)From the Lands End Visitor Lookout Center (accessed easily by the 38 Geary), take in the views and imagine what life might have been like long ago – in the early 20th century when the Sutro Baths were in their heyday, or even farther back, when native Yelamu Ohlone lived off the land, taking in shellfish, seabirds and marine mammals. Head out to the Point Lobos promontory, named for the “sea wolves” or sea lions that might still be seen from here. Trek east along the Coastal Trail, following the path of an old rail line that once brought visitors to Sutro’s baths. The trail continues past beautiful Sea Cliff homes, China Beach (named for the Gold Rush-era Chinese American fishermen who once worked here), Baker Beach, and up the notorious sand ladder. Views abound as you approach and pass under the Golden Gate Bridge, the bridge sometimes seeming to play peek-a-boo, momentarily passing from view through the trees or oft-present fog. This section finishes just past Crissy Field, which takes its name not for the grassy expanse it is now, but from the airfield it once was, from where Amelia Earhart flew in the 1930’s.
