LIONS' DEN DANGEROUS LIAISONS: A WRITERS' FEEDBACK GROUP FOR THE RAWNESS IN ALL OF US.
IMPORTANT: This is a space for all flavors of ice cream. Don't care what flavor someone else's is unless they expect you to lick their cone, OK? We welcome and include all diversity of writers. We only ask for authenticity and dedication to the craft.
Rule: I agree that I am over 18 years of age and able to give consent to listen and comment on works with triggering content.
I agree to Always Be Kind in my words, deeds, and intent.
I agree to critique the WORK, not the Writer,or the Idea behind the Work.
I agree that I will hold space for works I may find personally disturbing.
I agree that I have The right to PASS on commenting on a work that is too problematic for me in the moment.
I agree that my truth is different than another's truth.
I agree that LIONS' DEN is a safe space for any and all to show their truth IN THEIR WRITTEN WORDS, no matter how raw.
I agree to adhere to and respect the time of the group through time limits on both reading and critiquing. We've all gotta get back to WRITING rather then TALKING!
I agree to stay on topic.
I agree to treat others even Better than I would like to be treated.
I agree NOT TO CREATE DRAMA.
Writers will ask for one of three levels of critiquing before sharing:
Level One: Tell me ONE thing you like about my work.
Level Two: Tell me ONE thing you like and ONE thing you didn't like about my work.
Level Three: Tell me ONE thing you like, ONE thing you didn't like in my work, and give me ONE way you solved a similar situation in a work of your own.
Whew!
