SAFETY FIRST - THIS GROUP DOES NOT RIDE AT THE EDGE OF ITS ABILITIES, AND DOES NOT CONSIDER DENTS IN THE FUEL TANK AS BADGES OF COURAGE. THAT TYPE OF RIDING IS RESERVED FOR CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENTS SUCH AS THE TRACK! AT MOST THE RIDING PACE IS C+.
This is a moto riding MeetUp group where routes begin mostly in the city, but on occasion in will start San Leandro. Rides include routes in and around the SF Bay area, with some farther. All makes & model bikes are welcome but 500cc is the minimum required as many routes include riding upon the super slab, (A.K.A. Freeways).
Feel free to submit route ideas, and or changes to event routes via PM to event hosts.
●●●GROUP RIDING●●●
Group riding is just that GROUP RIDING! What does this mean - group riding is a collection of moto riders that enjoy the experience of riding with others on a predetermined route at a leisurely pace while in a staggered formation of two seconds behind the bike in front of you and or single file formation with a three second gap depending on road type & conditions. There is a ride captain who leads the formation, a sweep or two that follows behind the group, and if there are more than ten bikes attending then typically two groups are formed both with lead and sweepers of their own.
This type of riding is not for everyone as many folks prefer to maintain a quicker pace. If you prefer a faster pace then this group may not be for you.
