A Course in Miracles Book Club – Living the Teachings
A Course in Miracles has helped countless people shift the way they see themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. At the same time, many people discover that the book can feel dense, abstract, or difficult to translate into everyday life.
This group exists to bridge that gap.
Each week we gather to read and explore A Course in Miracles together, moving through the material slowly and thoughtfully while focusing on how its ideas apply to real human experience. Rather than approaching the text as a purely philosophical or academic exercise, we look at what the teachings reveal about how the mind works, why we experience conflict, and how clarity can emerge in our daily lives.
Our conversations are grounded, open, and sincere. Participants are welcome whether they are brand new to the book or have studied it for many years. The intention is not to debate interpretations, but to explore the ideas together in a way that brings them alive.
The group is facilitated by Shamananda Lee, a longtime spiritual counselor, author and teacher who has spent many years working directly with individuals to help them see through patterns that create suffering and conflict. Her work focuses on clarity, self-honesty, and the practical application of insight. Rather than presenting teachings as abstract concepts, she is known for helping people recognize how these ideas show up in their own thinking, relationships, and decisions.
Because of this background, the discussions often move beyond the words on the page and into the deeper mechanics of how the mind creates perception, identity, and emotional experience. Participants frequently find that ideas they have read many times in A Course in Miracles begin to take on new meaning when explored in the context of real life.
Each gathering typically includes:
• Reading a short section of the text
• Exploration of the themes and ideas within that section
• Discussion about how the material relates to everyday situations
• Space for questions and reflections from participants
Everyone is welcome to participate in whatever way feels comfortable. Some people prefer to listen quietly, while others enjoy sharing their experiences and insights. Both approaches are equally welcome.
These gatherings are not about presenting a fixed interpretation of A Course in Miracles. Instead, they create an environment where the material can be examined thoughtfully and honestly, allowing participants to deepen their understanding through dialogue and reflection.
Over time, many people discover that the teachings of A Course in Miracles become much more accessible when they are explored in community. Hearing different perspectives and seeing how others apply the ideas in their lives often opens new ways of understanding the text.
The group meets on Zoom most Sundays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Pacific Time. Participants are welcome to attend regularly or drop in whenever their schedule allows.
Whether you are just beginning your journey with A Course in Miracles or have been studying it for years, this space is intended to support a deeper, more grounded engagement with the material.
All that is required is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore.
