Map of the Marsh Preserve trails
Lets go do the central section of Pescadero State Beach to check out the stunning views followed by the Sequoia Audubon and North Pond Trails in the Pescadero Marsh Preserve where we can check out the bird life. With the exception of the stairs, this walk is flat and will be about 3 miles - or a little more if we wish to venture further into the marshland trails. Although we will be close to the bird life, bring binoculars if you have them.
    Parking
There are 3 coastside parking lots here - North, Central and South. Please park in the Central parking lot. Here we have access to beautiful walks along the bluffs before we walk down stairs that take us under Highway 1 and into the marshland preserve. This avoids crossing Highway 1 on foot and is the safest option.
    Meeting Place
Please wait at the north end of the Central parking lot after you park. I will wear a royal blue jacket and we will set off shortly after 11 a.m. If you arrive later, you can catch up because you will see us on the bluff trails.
    Bathrooms
Porta-potty style in the parking lot.
    Lunch, Snack and Chat
Optional stop afterwards in the town of Pescadero at a good taco joint or a cute coffee shop, depending on what the group prefers.
