Welcome to our Jazz Dance Meetup Group! Join us for an all levels jazz funk and dance classes that blends the precision of jazz with the bold, high-energy moves of hip-hop. If you love the choreography in music videos, you’ll feel right at home learning fast-paced combos, intricate movements, and expressive gestures.
*NEW! Shuffle dance classes with Jasper! Shuffle is often celebrated as an inclusive and expressive dance style — one that encourages freedom, individuality, confidence, and movement without judgment. It allows dancers to connect with the music they love in a powerful and personal way.
This energetic street dance style built around fast footwork, coordination, flowing movement, is a dynamic and fun to learn, making it a great choice for students who want a high-energy dance style that combines rhythm, fitness, creativity, and personal expression.
This style of jazz was shown in its early form on the sketch comedy series In Living Color. The resident dance troupe, the Fly Girls, of which Jennifer Lopez was a member, opened and closed every show with a hip-hop and jazz performance choreographed by Rosie Perez. This style of dance remains popular today, and has been used in music videos by Beyoncé, Paula Abdul, Gwen Stefani, and Janet Jackson.

• No special clothes are required, what feels comfortable for you is good.
• Please wear clothing that allows for unrestricted movement. Dance slippers, dance sneakers, or socks are preferable for footwear. Dance shoes available for sale at our dance boutique.

FREE On-Street Parking After 6pm and in all city-owned parking facilities everyday after 6pm and all day Sundays and on city-designated holidays.
Kiku Parking Garage with 526 spaces is located at 400 E. 5th Avenue in San Mateo, parking is Free Mon-Sat after 6pm and all day Sunday (you can park there and walk two blocks to the studio).
