Hi Ladies! Please join me for this ~3.5 mile easy, out and back hike in the lovely woodsy floor of Baltimore Canyon in Larkspur. This is a beautiful, well maintained trail among redwoods and alongside the Larkspur creek with some stairs and ups and downs.
We will take the Piedmont trail and the Dawn Falls trail out to the big rock at the base of the Dawn Falls switch backs where we will stop for a few minutes and then retrace our steps back to our cars. The trail is heavily shaded but you might want to bring water and dress in layers. Hiking/sturdy shoes are recommended as there are rocks and roots and some steep stairs, etc. Well-behaved dogs on leash are allowed. We walk at a moderate pace.
Directions for Parking and Meeting spot: Please park on Piedmont Road in Larkspur and look for parking on the street BEFORE Piedmont Rd splits into Coleman Dr. For GPS, you can use address: 30 Piedmont Road, Larkspur.
We will meet where Piedmont Dr. splits into Coleman and walk to the trail as a group from there.
Introductions will start at 9:05 a.m. and we will begin the hike shortly thereafter. The start time is precise, but the end time is not, as it depends on the groups speed, etc. Please allow time for parking and getting your stuff together; especially on a Sunday, Baltimore Canyon is a popular spot for walkers/hikers, so allow time for parking.
