What we’re about
Meet other San Francisco Bay Area dads! Stay-At-Home Dads, working dads, part-time at home dads, work from home dads, freelance dads, and involved fathers in and around the SF Bay Area to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their kids.
Our primary goal is to form an inclusive & active community of all fathers to take advantage of what the Bay Area has to offer. Organized meet up events are offered several times per week at a local park/playground, museum, playgym, children's venue, parent & me class, zoo, restaurant, or someone's playroom/living room. We aim to schedule and promote evening events as well without our children for a dads night out or educational workshops.
There are not enough resources, social outlets, support groups, or services for dads in San Francisco. This group is the pioneer in achieving more for dads in San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area.

See all- HomeDadCon 2023 in MilwaukeeHyatt Regency Milwaukee, Milwaukee, WI
City Dads Group is proud to once again sponsor HomeDadCon — the Annual At-Home Dads Convention — bringing together caregiving dads from across the country. Why join us in Milwaukee?
- professional development for dads who embrace parenting as their most important job
- to network with other active and engaged dads
- to enjoy a well-deserved chance to take a break from the daily routine
Starting September 22nd and continuing through 23rd, dads will gather to hear speakers talk about a range of topics including imposter syndrome, the power of connection, teaching children gender inclusivity, sewing, and much more.
Pre-HomeDads Con events will also highlight what Wisconsin has to offer with photo & brewery tours, a trip to Lambeau Field, a local service event, and a session on how to make a Wisconsin Old-Fashioned.
Note: to purchase a ticket to HomeDadCon, you must be a Supporting Member of the National At-Home Dad Network ($35/year). Get your membership and more details at HomeDadCon.org.
- Sunday Morning Football at Spark SocialSpark Social SF, San Francisco, CA
Are you ready for some football!? Let's meet up with the kiddos at Spark Social, take advantage of their nice open space, hit up some food & beer trucks, and huddle around TVs to watch some NFL Football (49ers will be playing the Browns). Bringing your own football is encouraged!
I'll try and get there right at opening time to secure a table near a TV. Will post location in comments when I have it.
Note: NFL games start at 10am, but I've asked the folks at Spark Social if they open early on football Sundays. Stay tuned!
Transportation (from Spark Social's website): SPARK is surrounded by street metered parking and UCSF parking lots. Please note we are not affiliated with UCSF nor do we know the exact pricing of these parking spaces. We recommend using public transportation or ride-sharing to visit.
- Transit option one: take Muni bus 22 to 4th St. and Mission Bay Boulevard North. You’re right outside the park!
- Transit option two: take Muni line T to the Mission Rock stop and walk 2 minutes to SPARK.
- Transit option three: take Muni line N to the Caltrain stop and walk 10 minutes to SPARK.
- Transit option four: take Caltrain and get off at 4th and King. It’s a short 10-minute stroll from there!
