Is Apple actually behind in AI?

In this meetup we'll talk about whether Apple is actually behind in AI or not. Siri is obviously behind compared to LLM voice assistants and they didn't release Swift Assist that was promised.

However, they did lay a wonderful foundation that we have access to with the Foundation Models Framework and have a rich library of machine learning frameworks for Vision that we'll explore. We'll discuss how their approach differs from other companies and how it empowers us as developers.

I may record this meetup for YouTube, if I have time to figure out a good setup.

It will take place in the Seminar Room at the La Jolla Riford Libary for 1.5 hours which has a capacity of 40 people. There is parking lot at the library and parking on the street in the surrounding area.

Everyone interested is welcome: app developers, business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors. The idea is to grow this group to be a great networking hub where people can meet each other for projects and/or friendships.
