Thrill Salmon Days Parade October 3!
Details
We will be performing in the Issaquah Salmon Days Parade on October 3, 2026, presented by the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce.
Check-In:
Check-in to register with the Chamber will be at Confluence Park between 8:00 and 8:30. Please allow commute time to be there and parked to check in with the rest of the group at that time. Streets will be blocked off at 9:00.
Parade Start/End Times:
The parade begins at 10:00. I have posted the end time for 1:00, but it will likely end closer to noon. Please rsvp only if you will be dancing.
Length of Routine:
We will be performing the first 3 minutes of the routine, which ends just after the first set of 6 Stomps (halfway through the song). This performance will be for those already familiar with the routine as we will not have a special teaching session for it. Link to tutorial videos: https://thrilltheworld.com/choreography . This will take place in front of the judges. Since all performers are limited to a 60 second routine and our music has been edited to fade out at 3 minutes, we will be farther back on the docket so that we do not hold up the parade.
Parade Route (Map Attached):
Starting at Confluence Park, the parade will proceed down Rainier Blvd N, before turning onto NW Dogwood St, and turning again to proceed north on Front St. Finally, participants will turn right and head down the south side of NE Gilman Blvd before reaching the dispersal area. The end of the parade is a couple blocks past Boehm's Chocolates, and the entries walk back to the start via NE Dogwood St.
Parking:
Many of the entries pay to park in the Issaquah Valley Elementary School parking lot (fundraiser, as is most parking for Salmon Days). Then people walk through the short walk in the park between the school and Confluence Park open area. The entries stage will be inside in the main meadow.
Parade Rules Per The Issaquah Chamber:
1. Parade participants may not mingle with or accost parade route spectators. I did let them know that in previous parades we have been in, occasionally spectators have come up to us from the crowd to take a selfie with us as we were zombie-walking/staggering along the parade walk. That is allowed but we will not be able to walk over to them on the sidelines. All participants are required to stay in line with their group.
2. Only forward movement maneuvers are allowed along the parade route. All units are required to close the gap between units when instructed by the parade officials. No stopping or reverse motion will be allowed on the route. If a gap of 50 feet is created for any reason, bands, performance groups, and all other entries must increase their pace to maintain the maximum 50 foot gap.
3. Entries may stop in front of the Announcer's Area and perform.
4. Alcoholic beverages, vaping, or smoking are forbidden. Participants consuming alcohol prior to or during the parade will be removed from the lineup.
5. All entries must be in full uniform.
6. No balloons of any size or type are allowed in the Parade.
Dress Code:
FZA (Full Zombie Attire)
Costumes:
When selecting your zombie attire for the event, no political themes will be allowed.
