Author, engineer, and historian, Jill Tietjen, will highlight humanist women from her best-selling book, “Her Story: A Timeline of the Women Who Changed America.” This captivating talk will celebrate famous women and introduce you to some you might not know. A dynamic speaker, Tietjen, is the former CEO of the Women’s Hall of Fame. Inducted into the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame in 2010, Jill Tietjen is nationally known for her advocacy for women, particularly in engineering and technology. You will want to bring your kids to this inspiring talk. Followed by refreshments, book sales and signing, and a chance to meet the author.
Celebrate Women’s History Month at the Secular Hub. Women’s history is our history. Madeleine Albright comments in her foreword to Her Story, that recognition of women’s accomplishments is incredibly limited. “Their accomplishments have advanced the arts, the sciences, politics, and business.” Tietjen’s depth of historical knowledge and passion bring these achievements to life.
