Let's play Cheops and Egizia - two classic strategy games themed on ancient Egypt!

Egizia: Shifting Sands is a tight, interactive worker-placement game where your workers sail down the Nile, gathering resources and competing for increasingly valuable spaces. Every placement is a tradeoff: grab something useful now, or push farther down the river and risk losing out. Manage food, labor, and stone while racing to build Egypt’s monuments and maximize your score.

Cheops is a quick, clever older game about looting a pyramid and playing the market. Collect colorful scarabs, then decide whether to cash them in now or gamble on their value rising later. Meanwhile, your tile placements let you block opponents, manipulate the market, and occasionally wreak havoc with special law tiles. Easy to learn but surprisingly interactive.

Knowing how to play these games is not a prerequisite - while some familiarity with modern board games will help, I will always offer to teach each game before we begin playing.
