Are you a gay/bi/pan/trans/nby WOMAN, AFAB or transman and comfortable in a women-centered environment ISO community, fun, and all things fabulous to thrive? Here’s your tribe!! Join us for fun diverse activities that will leave us with lots to talk about. Come and bond with new friends on a mini Bay Area excursion, a quickie social, the new “it” thing, etc etc. nothing to BIG or too small if it’s fun, interesting, educational, etc etc. Let’s go check out some fun tgthr in our Bay Area backyard…live music, DJ event, a gorgeous hike, latin dance, ballroom dance, go-kart racing, burlesque show, drag-king/drag-queen show, canoeing, art show, comedy show, museum, garden tour, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, chill in the park, beach excursions, cultural events, coffee social, fitness and wellness activities, speed dating, more racy adventures if you’re into that, etc etc., you name it we could be doing it, want to do it, need to know about it so we can eventually do it. Our goal is connection, support, fun and to bring those adventurous spirits together to create friendships and share what this this blue marble has to offer in our special SF Bay Area space. Some events will be opened for all, but some may be specific for a subset of our wonderful community. If you’re unsure, just ask the event host of that particular event. Some events might extend invites to guests outside of our queer bubble, but they must come with a member. An event will explicitly specify if those outside our queer community family can join. Given all the complexity and broad spectrum of people that comprise the queer community these days it can be a sensitive, tricky, difficult, &or just complex endeavor to detail who we want to comprise our ragtag bunch of awesomeness, but let’s try to give it a go and my apologies for any mishaps. We’re a safe space, full of kindness, and all that. We’re open to any and all CisG ladies in the lesbians, homoflexible, bi, pan, questioning, & asexual space; all trans folxs; afab nbys; afab intersex, and a clutch of the many myriads that are in this special box of crayons that’s not part of the heteronormative space; and if you’re not sure you fit reach out and let’s talk about it because gender, sexual orientation, and all the rest can truly get a bit sticky. I’ve tried to give it my best and figure it out, but I’m a CisG gay gal with the best of intentions and imperfect. I can say this is NOT the right group for CisG men, crossdressing men, and straight CisG women, but the good news is is there are loads of activity groups, social clubs, events, places, etc etc elsewhere for you. Because we all have the aforementioned peeps as pals, family, and what not, they are welcomed to on occasion, when EXPLICITLY noted in the event, join us to said event as your guest. Currently there’s a yearly membership fee, 20. Inexpensive enough that we can all afford it, yet hopefully a fee that’ll encourage active participation from members, help cover the costs of the meetup, discourage lookee loos & window lickers bc far too many join meetup groups and never actually participate or use MU to phish, make available greater offerings, and such. This is a local group, but if you plan a visit to the SF Bay Area and want to join one or more of our events we do ask you to reach out to the event organizer to pay the group membership before/at your first event to support the group, rather utilize the free trial period. Are you a paid member and want to share an interest and host an event…LMK & let’s make it happen. Now, Re COVID: Each event host is free to have their own rules so an event’s host might have less/more strict Covid policies; check out individual events for any specific Covid details, masks, vax, etc. Ideally you’re vaccinated and if it’s that time for you, boosted. Let’s all try and be respectful.
