Living abroad means getting to know a brand new culture and seeing the world from a different point of view.

We wove our unique perspectives and cultural layers into our works, in order to open up new opportunities and conversations that can better connect cultures and people. This talk shares how cross-cultural perspectives can inform speculative design works, opening up new opportunities and conversations that can better connect people, their culture to their preferred future.

Shihan and Kalyani design objects and experiences that are sometimes real and sometimes fictional, but always through cross-cultural lenses to reveal something different each time.

In a world where culture shapes our perspectives, this event delves into how cross-cultural lenses enrich speculative design. Shihan and Kalyani's innovative approach melds real and fictional elements, inviting us to see the world anew.

Living across borders has empowered them to craft objects and experiences that bridge cultures and foster conversations. Join us as they share their journey, revealing how these perspectives can shape our preferred futures and connect cultures.

Join us for this discussion, networking, snacks and drinks!
