🎶 SFJAM at SFJAZZ: Jazz To Hip Hop with Terrence Brewer -- SFJazz Center

🔆 These monthly open jam sessions provide a space for all Bay Area musicians -- including jazz students -- to come together and perform in an inclusive, multigenerational setting. Each session features a musical director and curated repertoire.

▪︎ Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
▪︎ Each session is free and open to the public - no reservations or tickets needed to attend.

I have group discounted tickets available for the Wednesday, April 22nd, 1:00 matinee of "Hadestown" (the Musical) at the Orpheum Theater if you'd like to join us. There's always an optional get-together for brunch (11:00/11:30) before going to a performance, so it's more than just going to the show; it's a chance to meet others and socialize!

Premium center orchestra seats, row E, are $178 each; Center orchestra, row K with only one seat open, is $128, Center orchestra seats, row O, are $93 each; Center orchestra seats, row Y, are $63 each; Premium center loge, row A, are $178 each; Center loge seats, row C, are $128 each; Center mezzanine seats, row G, are $93 each; Center balcony seats, row A, are $63 each; and Side balcony seats, row A, are $48 each. There are also two ADA seats available in the very back of the orchestra; please inquire. The number of seats in each section is very limited, so please let me know immediately if you'd like to join us. Deadline for ordering and payment balance: March 13th, 2026.

Full disclosure: There will be others present who are not members of this group. There's an upcharge of $3 for each ticket, but you save the online box office fees and get the group discount. 🗣 NARROW ESCAPES: A StorySlam Competition About Cheating Fate -- Public Works Space

▪︎ The StorySlam competition a few months ago, on the topic of Manners, was a DELIGHT! We heard stories that were funny, poignant, and top-notch, so here's another Moth event. This time, the topic is Narrow Escapes. Expect an evening of captivating tales.

🔆 NARROW ESCAPES: Sit back and enjoy a storytelling competition of true, personal, five-minute stories about cheating fate -- just barely. Dodging disaster by inches, slipping through a closing door, or talking one's way out of a sticky situation. Heart racing, palms sweating, a big sigh of relief. The storytellers will recount the tight squeezes, last-minute maneuvers, and lucky breaks that left them thinking, “that was way too close!”
