🔆 Learn about the challenges affecting both people and wildlife that lie ahead for San Francisco Bay as well as the science-driven solutions that are already underway. Presented by Emily Corwin of the San Francisco Estuary Institute.
The San Francisco Bay's health is being altered by human-made chemicals and climate change, affecting both people and wildlife. Whether you’re a longtime Bay devotee or newly curious, you’ll come away with a clearer picture of the challenges ahead and the science-driven solutions underway. Q&A to follow.
Speaker Emily Corwin, MS, P.E., is the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the San Francisco Estuary Institute, where she helps translate complex Bay science into clear, actionable insights for communities and decision-makers. She specializes in climate resilience, nature-based adaptation, and making environmental science accessible through data, storytelling, and collaboration.
The San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI) is a non-advocacy nonprofit organization based in the Bay Area whose mission is to deliver visionary science so people can revitalize nature in their communities. For over thirty years, SFEI has provided essential data and analysis on water quality, habitat change, pollutants, and ecosystem resilience.
