Group Discussion (Host: Humberto)

Join us in mutual enrichment of perspectives through discussing deep topics in the company of warm, insightful people. Many of us are regulars, but newcomers are welcome!

In the past, we have discussed topics such as:

• If most jobs become automated, what will humans do — and how will they define accomplishment?
• How should we evaluate cultural traditions in the context of modern values?
• Is it better to live a well-rounded life or to maximize one pursuit to a level of excellence?
• To what extent do we owe loyalty and effort to friends, neighbors, and humanity at large?

The group will vote on which two topics we would like to talk about, then have a facilitated discussion for about 45 minutes on each topic.

We are finalizing the venue for this meetup, but it will be located in the vicinity of Union Square/Powell BART/Muni. Once the attendee roster is finalized, we'll communicate the exact location to confirmed attendees 1-2 days before we meet. Please only attend if you have a confirmed spot, as per our norms.
