We are a movie loving group hosting in-person movie watching and discussion events in SF. Come join our Discord community! https://discord.gg/aXYUY8etq9 Typical events involve watching a movie at a theater followed by discussion at a nearby bar, cafe, or restaurant.
Our goal is to foster a community of movie lovers that regularly meets to watch and discuss movies of all kinds. We hope that some of the active members will eventually step up and host events so that more people can participate.

Ghost in the Shell (1995)
Roxie theater, 3125 16th street, san francisco, CA, USWhen the Wachowskis were pitching The Matrix to their producers, they showed them this movie and said: "We wanna do that for real." The film defined a visual identity for cyberpunk media that continues to influence creators like James Cameron and Steven Spielberg. Join us for Mamoru Oshii's cyber-thriller masterpiece on Wednesday, September 23 at 6:00 PM at the historic Big Roxie.
This is a rare chance to see the classic cell-animation which was restored last year for its 30th anniversary. The film is 1 hour and 23 minutes long and will be shown in Japanese with English subtitles. Note that the Roxie starts its features more or less at the listed showtime!

- 5:30 PM: Meet outside for quick introductions and to grab good seats.
- 6:00 PM: Movie starts.
- 7:30 PM: Gather outside the theater lobby after the film.
- 7:40 PM: Walk over to a nearby restaurant or bar for drinks, food, and movie discussion.
