Tucked into an alcove of the Parc 55 hotel, the space is no great shakes in the décor department, but when it comes to layered, vibrantly flavorful Thai cooking with a produce-driven northern California flair, Chef Pim Techamuanvivit is in a league of her own.

The menu draws on tradition, but it’s a far cry from run-of-the-mill, with creative interpretations of classics as well as original offerings. A fragrant steamed curry mousse (hor mok), studded with tender mushrooms and served with crispy puffed rice cakes, is a tantalizing starter, and even a familiar dish like green curry is made memorable with slow-cooked rabbit sourced from a local farm. Kin Khao has a Michelin star and is the first Thai restaurant San Francisco Foodies will visit. An approachable and reasonably priced menu and each entry is described in mouth watering detail. I want to try them all.

Administrative Trivia
Their prices are very reasonable, and Yelp says they are less than $30 per person. However, if you order a full dinner then probably will cost closer to $50 or more. If we share dishes then our costs will be closer to $30 per person, before taxes. Dress is business smart. Each diner is responsible for their own orders and costs but we will have to consolidate and divvy up the final bill accordingly. The Restaurant does not require masks or proof of vaccination, but like San Francisco Foodies we hope you are safe.

Dining in San Francisco has a sales tax (10.25%) and possibly employee health mandate, tip may be automatically added because of the size of our party.

Transit and Parking
55 Parc has parking, and many transit options. There are also several parking lots nearby. Street Parking would be a rare find.
