History
For the past six years I have hosted a picnic for charity in Golden Gate Park. We had a high of 135 people on site in 2019, then of course 2020 had lock-downs, but we were given permission having our reservation so far in advance but only twelve lucky people were allowed to attend. For 2021 we had a full agenda and about 65 attendees.

Charity
We are supporting a classic San Francisco Charity that has been around since 1974 Tenderloin Tessie. They provide food to people who otherwise would go hungry. They have several large dinner events where people can come and be seated and waited on. Their big Thanksgiving feast is a sight to behold. Any volunteer's would be welcome also. Their website is https://tenderlointessie.com/

If you are able please give a $5 donation per person when you attend. As always what San Francisco Foodies provides is all donated, and all donations are passed through 100%.

A Very San Francisco Summer Picnic
As any local knows October is the best month for outdoor activities, perhaps the last weeks of September are the only competition. This year we and you are putting together some classic San Francisco Foodie bites, all restaurant prepared. Please bring a dish that can be shared. We are planning on around 50 people this year, small bites are recommended and about 5-10 servings is great. Beer, wine and soft drinks are most definitely welcome.

I could definitely use help getting food, organizing the site, bringing supplies to GGP, if you can please email me at [dean@sffoodies.org](mailto:dean@sffoodies.org) or message me via meetup.
