What is a Drag Brunch? Come with me to a rooftop spot and find out. Drag Brunches started in the mid 2000s gaining popularity and now you can book reservations online in most American cities, like New Orleans, NYC, Las Vegas and of course San Francisco. I have been to these there and am of the opinion we have the best performers and the best food.

The TV Show RuPaul's Drag Race and the 1990s movie from which RuPaul gained fame To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar are mostly responsible for the initial and continued interest in this phenomena, which started during the counter culture revolution.

What to expect - good food, upscale breakfast and lunch options - singing performances from a array of San Francisco Drag Celebrities and a tongue lashing, joke popping emcee who you'll probably with hosted the Oscars.

This is outdoors, so I know those with some illnesses can't attend and San Francisco Foodies feels for you, and everyone else, the area is heated and should be fine, but bring a warm layer in case of unseasonable weather.

Look forward to seeing everyone. if a large number sign up and pay their deposit I will see about getting this reservation increased.

Minutiae
A warning to those triggered by political speech or politics not matching their own, there may be political speech during the performances, wouldn't feel like San Francisco if there wasn't.

Born from an innovative way to skirt local laws restricting cross-dressing and recognized (and monetized) by Hollywood years later we'll be there, though according to SF Eats most have lost their political edge. It's a trigger warning and hate speech won't be tolerated, though over the past twenty years with Meetup I don't expect any problems.

History
Every Sunday, the patio transforms into a runway of glamour, laughter, and high-energy performances.

Each diner is responsible for their own orders and costs but we will have to consolidate and divvy up the final bill accordingly.

Please bring cash or have Zelle or Apple Cash available.

Deposits, Prepays, Donations and Third Party Events
A deposit is applied to each attendee’s portion of the event (for example dinner) cost or returned to each attendee when they attend. Unexpected extra from individual deposits are returned to each attendee or left as tip, at each attendee's discretion.

A deposit is to defray hosts’ costs from no-shows and late cancelations; many restaurants charge for each guest missing.

Deposits and prepays are non-refundable. However, a host, at their desecration may have a cut off date for refunds, usually one week to 72 hours before an event. Any refund may occur up to one week after an event, if there is a delay let your host know.
Under extreme circumstances (like a natural disaster) or if an event is cancelled by host or venue deposits are returned. For large events please be patient, these refunds may take some time.
Some San Francisco Foodies events offer third party insurance and San Francisco Foodies cannot refund that cost.

Donations go directly to a non-profit and are ancillary to an event or events. San Francisco Foodies cannot refund these.

Third Party events collect funds directly from San Francisco Foodies members and San Francisco Foodies cannot issue a refund, but may help recover lost deposits or prepays on a case by case basis.

San Francisco Foodies is willing and able to go to court to protect our community, hosts and members.

We Look Forward to Seeing you at This and Other San Francisco Foodies Events
