[Dinner] Embrace the Caribbean at Cubita Table for 10 ($10 Deposit)
Details
Cubita - A taste of Havana
In 2025 Cubita opened in the old El Techo location above Lolinda's in San Francisco's Mission District. They are a rooftop bar and dinner location, their menu is primarily sandwiches and some plates that represent Caribbean dishes and food. They also have an extensive bar menu for craft cocktails.
Afro-Cuban music (live or a DJ), art, food, drinks and the San Francisco skyline will help transport you to Havana for a few hours, take a bite and relax.
While San Francisco is the city I have lived in the longest, and California is almost the state I have lived in the longest, i lived in various areas of Florida, and our family loved Cuban Cuisine. Always one of my favorites, it is the one culinary ethnicity lacking in San Francisco for me. Tampa Cuban is different than Miami Cuban.. which is different than North Central.. even when the restaurants belong the same family. From small hol in the walls to historic gastronomic temples and modern fusion. I just need to taste the real thing, again and often.
And don't get me started on the differences in the rice of all the various Central and South American countries and the spices of the Caribbean islands.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Minutiae
Among their lauded dishes are the Cuban Sandwich, Pork and Gulf Shrimp, along with Yuca Fries, Plantains and more. Food and Cuban inspired cocktails.

Deposits, Prepays, Donations and Third Party Events
A deposit is applied to each attendee’s portion of the event (for example dinner) cost or returned to each attendee when they attend. Unexpected extra from individual deposits are returned to each attendee or left as tip, at each attendee's discretion.
A deposit is to defray hosts’ costs from no-shows and late cancelations; many restaurants charge for each guest missing.
Prepayments are asked when the venue requires money before an event (such as a dinner) and paid by our event hosts in advance to a third party. Hosts will usually help find someone to cover a person's seat and prepayment, but that is not guaranteed.
Deposits and prepayments are non-refundable.
However, a host, at their desecration may refund or have a cut off date, usually one week to 72 hours before an event. Any approved refund may occur up to one week after an event, if there is a delay let your host know.
Under extreme circumstances (like a natural disaster or an event is cancelled by host or venue) deposits are returned. For large events or natural disasters please be patient, refunds may take some time, but a week is our goal.
Some San Francisco Foodies events offer third party insurance and San Francisco Foodies cannot refund that cost.
Donations go directly to a non-profit and are ancillary to an event. San Francisco Foodies cannot refund these.
Third Party events collect funds directly from San Francisco Foodies members and San Francisco Foodies cannot issue a refund, but may help recover lost deposits or prepayments on a case by case basis.
San Francisco Foodies is willing and able to go to court to protect our community, hosts and members.
We Look Forward to Seeing you at This and Other San Francisco Foodies Events
