We'll meet for "linner" (too late for lunch and too early for dinner) at 3:30 at Um.Ma in the Inner Sunset on Friday, May 22nd. I've always wanted to try them, but haven't gotten around to it, so let's do it together! I hear their KFC wings are amazing, but you can order whatever strikes your fancy!

You’ll be responsible for whatever you order plus tax (8.625%), a 20% tip, and possibly a 3 to 10% SF health mandate (your order x 1.37, depending on health mandate charges, rounded up to the nearest dollar for ease in calculating). Please bring cash or be ready to Venmo or Zelle your payment; I will be charging the whole amount on my credit card.

Please, please, please do not sign up without checking your schedule first. Note that this will be at 3:30! If you sign up and find you can't attend, please cancel before Wednesday, May 20th. No shows and late cancellations will cause you to be excluded from any future events. And please don't hold a spot until something "better" comes along!! Hope to see you at the table!

From the restaurant:
"Um.Ma. Which means "mom" in Korean is to pay homage not to just Korean moms, but to all moms since we all think our mothers have the best home cooking.
As for the food, chef Chris will be firing up classic dishes like bubbling bowls of pork belly soon tofu and milky white bowls of ox bone soup with tender slices of brisket. From the open flame grill, the chefs will be grilling prime cuts of 48hr marinated kalbi short ribs and chared gochujang glazed pork belly accompanied with raw sliced apples and Korean miso spread. We also are well aware with any great Korean restaurant, there must be great banchans (Korean side dishes). The Um.Ma. Culinary team is taking great pride in making some of the best and freshest banchans from our daily house made kimchi to our signature soy marinated quail eggs.

The Um.Ma. Team's goal is to further promote Korean food and its culture while giving diners the nostalgic feeling of being back at mom's house enjoy a hot home cooked meal."

Muni information: The 7 Haight/Noriega bus and the N Judah run about half a block from the restaurant.

Metered parking can be found on the street. Please check street signs before parking; towaway on Lincoln during certain hours!
