The Pawn Shop SF is a speakeasy-style tapas bar and late-night destination hiding in plain sight in San Francisco’s SOMA neighborhood. Behind the original “pawn shop” storefront, you’ll find an immersive speakeasy tapas style restaurant built for mood, design, and social energy, with shareable plates, a uniquely curated cocktail and wine list with an evening of surprises appearing through the walls.
It looks like a pawn shop because it used to be one. Now it’s a hidden speakeasy, an evening of entertainment and an experience that starts before you ever sit down. Secret doors, unexpected passages, and a little bit of theater come standard. Guests step from Mission Street into the historic pawn shop, meet the lovely Pawn Master to trade or “pawn” an item with a story or some chatchi with significance to pay their way through the hidden entrance to one of San Francisco's top speakeasy’s and an evening full of surprises.
Reservations will close Monday July 27 at noon.
Given the shared nature of tapas, we will split the food bill evenly. Each diner is responsible for the cost of their own beverage orders.
Total cost will include sales tax (8.625%), SF Health Fee (2%-9%), and Service Fee (15%-25%), all of which may be added automatically based on the restaurant's policy. Organizer will manage one singular bill and form of payment for the check. Please be prepared to pay the organizer by Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, or cash.
